Yvonne Hollis was born in Gaffney, South Carolina, and was the daughter of the late Willie Lee Hollis and Vertie Mae Petty Hollis.

Affectionately known to many as “Oddie,” Yvonne was a proud graduate of Chase High School and was formerly employed by Contec.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kadeen Dawkins; her brother, Willie Dean Hollis; her grandson, Javelin Dawkins; and her nephew, Shama’ya Fon’ce Bernard Petty.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted son, Everette Dawkins; her special friend of many years, Edward Webster; two brothers, Kenneth Hollis and Tracy Hollis, both of Gaffney, South Carolina; and four sisters, Bobbie Phillips (Darrell) of Gaffney, South Carolina, Lisa Petty (Bernard) of Georgia, Sylvia Corry (Fred), and Sheila Littlejohn, both of Gaffney, South Carolina.

Yvonne was also blessed with three grandchildren, Feri Canady of Killeen, Texas, London and Chance Lipscomb of Gaffney, South Carolina. In addition, she leaves behind a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory

Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 6, 2026, 12:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel.

Interment will be follow in Suck Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is receiving friends at the home.
