Sidney Ray Smith , 57, of 500 Littlejohn Street, passed away Monday, in his home. He was born in East Orange, NJ and was a son of Bobby Lee Smith, Sr., of Inman and the late Annie Lois Smith and the late Charles and Willie Mae Johnson. He was a 1982 graduate of Gaffney High School and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Sidney was preceded in death by siblings, Ethel Gibbs (Gary), Bobby Lee Smith, Jr. (Tracy0, and Bernard Jefferies.

He leaves to cherish loving memories: a daughter, Sharnae Shepard of the home; a son, Ray Sean Smith, of Gaffney; a brother, Wilbert Littlejohn (Shawanda), of Atlanta, GA; 5 sisters, Dorothy Jefferies, Emma Adams (Jerome), Linda Jefferies, all of Gaffney, Annie Louise Piliro (Frank), of Millville, NJ, and Cassandra Johnson, of the home; 6 grandchildren; a host of cousins, including a special cousin, Willie Lee Littlejohn, of Chesnee; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Funeral Service will be Friday, 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend Dr. Timothy L. Hunter. Interment will be Monday, November 8th, in M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery, Anderson, SC.
