Obituary

Mrs. Sharon Bates Hamilton, 71, of 128 Bates Road, passed away Sunday, October 29, in Gaffney.

Wife of Wade Hamilton, Sr., she was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late Jessie and Clora Sizemore Bates.

Sharon was a graduate of Granard High School and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Phillip Bates. Surviving are: her husband, Wade, of the home; 2 sons, Wade Hamilton, Jr. of Texas and Timothy Hamilton of Gaffney; a daughter, Charlene Prysock of Gaffney; brother-in-law, Lindbergh Hamilton, Sr. (Ella Mae); sisters-in-law, Faye Littlejohn (Freddie) and Artis Means (Ralph) of Gaffney and Betty Wilkins of Denver, CO; 8 grandchildren, including Savon Dukes, reared in the home as a son; 8 great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, 3 p.m., in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Brother Earl Buckson officiating.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Charlene, 116 Bates Road.
