Sarah G. "Patsy" Jeter Tate, 87, of Gaffney, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022, in her home. Widow of Rochelle Tate, Sarah was born in Cherokee County to the late Willie Mae Jeter. She was graduate of Granard High School and she was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by siblings, Odell Jeter, Jack Stevenson, Luther Jeter, Gerald Jeter Sims; a grandchild, Johnte Jeter. She leaves to cherish loving memories: two sons, Edwin Tate (Gtanna) and Reginald Tate, both of Gaffney, SC; three daughters, Betty Jeter, Rosalind Jefferies (Donnie) and Cassandra Lawson (Steve), all of Gaffney, SC; two sisters, Corles Smith and Annie Watkins, both of Gaffney, SC; 15 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.
