Mekita Shadale Mills, 36, of 100 Redwood Circle, Apt. 16, passed away Thursday, June 28, in Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home. She was born in Greenville County and was a daughter of Peggy Leach Mills and William E. Mills.

Mekita was a member of Concord Baptist Church, a Graduate of Gaffney High School (Class of 2000), and an employee of Nestle.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Fletcher and Louise Leach and James and Lula Mae Mills.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, William A. Wood, of the home a daughter, Ari D. Mills of the home; mother, Peggy Mills (Frederick) of Gaffney; father, William E. Mills (Faurtina); brother, Daniel R. Mills of of Fort Lauderdale, FL; two sisters, Jacqueline T. Watkins (Robert) of Gaffney and Franchesta Massey of Greenville; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. in Concord Baptist Church with Dr. Michael A. Bridges officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. She will be in state in the church Friday at 12:00 noon.
