Mrs. Mary Corry Foster , 87, of 400 Chestnut Ridge Road, Gaffney, SC, passed away Monday, January 16 ^th , in Spartanburg Medical Center.

She was born in Cherokee County and was a daughter of the late David and Rodell Logan Corry.  She was the widow of Deacon William Foster, Jr.

She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where she served in several capacities including: deaconess, Mother of the Church, and Sunday School Teacher. She was also a Boy Scouts Den Mother.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by: seven siblings, her twin sister, Azzie Lee Davis, Addie McLean, Jay Corry, Alberta Doiley, Henry Corry, Frances Foster and Wes Corry; and a grandchild, Gantry Foster.

Left to cherish loving memories are: three sons, Glen Foster (Lisa) of Spartanburg, Richard Corry and Venson Foster (Katrina Mitchem) of Gaffney; two daughters, Brenda Simmons (Samuel) of Spartanburg and Schylver Foster of Greenville, SC; a brother, Joe Corry of Gaffney; two sisters, Ruby Corry and Dorothy Littlejohn, both of Gaffney; five grandchildren, LaToya Corry, Logan Foster, Keenen Corry, Taron Foster, and Keionna Corry; two great- grandchildren, Kameryn Corry and Karsen Burris;  other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 21 ^st , 1:00 p.m., in Concord Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Davidson and Dr. Michael Bridges. Interment will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery.
