Marcellus Barnett Ratchford, 50, of 630 W. Buford Street, passed away Tuesday, January 22 ^nd , in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Gaffney and was a son of Yong Suk Song Williams and the late Harry James Ratchford, Sr.

Barnett was a former member of Philadelphia Baptist Church and a former employee of Piedmont Glass Company of Gaffney and Milliken of Union.

Surviving are: his mother, Yong Suk Williams (Lloyd), of Gaffney; daughter, Diamond Ratchford, of Gaffney; brother, Harry James Ratchford, Jr. (Kai), of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Jessica Norris (Maurice Burris), of Gaffney; aunt, Oveda Dawson, of Batimore, MD; two grandchildren, Harlem Ka'Mori Smith and James Da'Shon Shippy, Jr., both of Gaffney and a host of other relatives and friends.

The Funeral Service will be Monday, 1:00 p.m., in Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Freddy Davidson and Rev. Xavier Haney.  Interment will follow in Gaffney Memorial Park.

He will be in state in the church Monday at noon.
