Joyce Ann Wood , 70, of 701 Littlejohn Street, Gaffney, passed away Friday, March 31, 2023, in her home. She was born in Gaffney and was a daughter of the late Peggy Hemphill and the late Billy Wood. Joyce was a 1971 graduate of Gaffney High School. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and a retiree of Gaffney Manufacturing and Nestle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Hazel Wood Savage, and two grandchildren, Demetrius Wood and Miaja Wood. She leaves to cherish loving memories: three daughters, Kristy Fowler (Lincoln), Casey Wood and Tori Wood, all of Gaffney; an uncle, James "Goat" Hemphill, of Gaffney; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 8th, 2:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with Minister Jennifer Hemphill officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Cemetery.
