Gloria Gaston Tate , 88, of 105 Ashley Street, Gaffney, SC, passed away Thursday, February 23 ^rd , in her home.

Wife of Jay Walter Tate, she was born in Cherokee County, SC to James Campfield Gaston and Annie Mae Spears Gaston.

She was a member of Limestone Missionary Baptist Church.  She was a 1951 graduate of Granard High School and a retiree of the Cherokee County School System.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Darrell Tate, and a grandchild, Miranda Latoya Tate.

She leaves to cherish loving memories: her husband, Jay Walter Tate, of the home; two sons, Harold Tate, of Gaffney, SC and Jay Walter Tate, Jr., of Simpsonville, SC; a brother, James "June" Campfield Gaston, Jr., of Gaffney, SC; six grandchildren; fourteen great- grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a host of other relatives and friends.

A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 1 ^st , 2:00 p.m., in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church with The Rev. Darrell Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
