Mrs. Gennie Gardner Lipscomb, 89, of Mooresboro, NC, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, October 20, in Oak Grove Healthcare Center, Rutherfordton, NC .

Widow of William Lipscomb, she was born in Spartanburg County and was a daughter of the late Walter and Gaither Head Gardner.

She was a member of Brown's Chapel Methodist Church, Chesnee, SC.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Linus, Marvin Lee, Choice, Verniller Brown, Mattie Valentine, Blennie Harris, and Annie Nell Thomas.

Surviving are: a brother, J.W. Gardner (Rose) of Chesnee; several nieces and nephews.

The family is at the home of her niece and nephew, Beulah and Perry Gaffney, 190 Doc Wiseman Road, Mooresboro, NC. They will receive friends Saturday, from 2-2:30 p.m. in The Gilmore Mortuary. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Gaffney Chapel Cemetery, Chesnee.
