Etta C. Pearson, 108, entered eternal rest on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, in Gaffney.

Widow of Cordell Pearson, she was born in Washington, D.C., a daughter of William Henry Coleman and Mary Elizabeth Washington Coleman. She was a member and former choir member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in Washington. Mrs. Pearson was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Surviving are a son, Ervan Cordell Pearson of Washington; two daughters, Louise Hinnant of the home and Gladys Beatrice Hines of Capitol Heights, Md.; 10 grandchildren; 39 greatgrandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Sandra and Elbert Gaffney, 300 Ozell Ave., Gaffney.

Funeral services will be held in Washington, D.C.
