Elder Dorothy Hemphill Brewton, 72, of 528 Boiling Springs Highway, entered eternal rest Thursday, July 14th, in her home.

She was born in Gaffney and was a daughter of the late Catherine Hemphill Willis and Joseph Martin, Sr.

Dorothy was a graduate of Granard High School and University of South Carolina Upstate. She was a retired Registered Nurse.

She was first married to Robert Lee "Bob" Ellis who preceded her in death. She later married Elder Robert Lee Brewton. A brother, Tommy Rosemond, also preceded her in death.

Elder Brewton was the Pastor of Mt. Ararat First Pentecostal Church of America, Inc., 125 Holly Hill Drive, Gaffney.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Judy Lott of the home; three grandchildren, Kevin, Terrian, and Christina, all of Gaffney; three brothers, Billy Hemphill (Ruby) and Donnie Willis (Teresa) of Gaffney., Bobby (Essie) Willis of Maryland; a sister, Betty Robinson (William) of Phoenix, AZ.; seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 23rd at 11:00 a.m., in Mt. Ararat First Pentecostal Church of America, Inc. with Bishop A.E. Jones officiating. Interment will be in Gaffney Memorial Park.

She will be in state in the church Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
