Dennis Louis Watkins, 55, of 353 E. Floyd Baker Blvd., passed away Saturday, January 5 ^th , in Spartanburg Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Cherokee County, SC on March 2, 1963 and was a son of the late L.D. and Maggie Watkins Smith.

He was a graduate of Gaffney High School, a Baptist, and an employee of the City of Gaffney.

Dennis was preceded in death by siblings, Matthew, Randy, and Alfonzo "Freddie" Watkins, Cathy Watkins-Tate, and Judy Watkins-Lightning.

Surviving are: his wife, Hazel, of the home; two daughters, Demeka Smith and Jessica Smith; a brother, Lawrence Watkins (Sheila) of Gaffney; 3 grandchildren, Malayah Smith, Jalihya Smith, and Lisa Smith.

The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, January 9 ^th , 1:00 p.m., in The Gilmore Mortuary Chapel with The Reverend Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery.
