Connington Eugene Whitener , age 50, of 12 Bennett Dr., Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 17th, in Atrium Health-Kings Mountain, NC.

Husband of Passion Peoples Whitener, Connington was born on Grover, NC to the late Luther June and Esther Lee Lockhart Whitener.

He was a member of The Divine True Holiness Church of God, Blacksburg, SC. He was a for employee of Pioneer Motor Bearing in Kings Mountain, NC.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to his wife, Passion Whitener of the home; two daughters, Lela and Precious Whitener, both of the home; two sons, Connington Eugene Whitener II and Isiaha Whitener, both of the home; a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 26 ^th ,  from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in Ellis Chapel Baptist Church, Patterson Springs, NC. . The Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 noon with The Reverend Ray Lockhart and Overseer Theodore Lockhart.  Interment will follow in The Divine True Holiness Church of God Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC.
