Mr. Billy Sims , 69, of 101 Oakland Avenue, Gaffney, passed away Tuesday, February 16th, in Richard Campbell Veteran's Home, Anderson, SC. He was born in Cherokee County on December 17, 1951, to the son of the late Winford and Nellie Dewberry Sims. He had served in the United States Army and was a retiree as a Receiving Clerk. He leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, Brad Dawkins (Sunshine), of Gaffney ; a brother, Terry Sims, of Gaffney; four sisters, Marie Sims of the home, Fatisha Sims, Denise Sims, and Janice Dawkins, all of Gaffney; an uncle, Charles Dewberry (Bessie), of Gaffney; four aunts, Cynthia Brockman and Marcelene Dewberry, both of Cowpens, Dorothy and Mozelle Dewberry, both of Gaffney; a special friend, Cynthia Cline, of Greenville; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren, a host of other relatives and friends. A Graveside Service will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., in Island Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jacob C. Hunter, officiating.
